If you’re an active family with a love of sports, Alexius is an amazing teen who may be just the right fit for you! Fueled by a strong pride in himself for overcoming a lot of difficult things in his young life, Alexius is ready to give his all towards settling into an adoptive family and working towards a bright future! With a passion for sports, particularly football and basketball, this resilient young man is looking forward to having a family of his own in the stands cheering him on as he betters himself even more athletically, in hopes of going to college on a sports scholarship. While he works towards those future goals, Alexius is also looking forward to everyday things that most people take for granted, like having a family of his own to hang out with while watching his favorite teams, the Lakers, and the Raiders, play ball on a lazy Sunday.
Outside of formal sports, Alexius likes to expend his energy doing things like longboarding, swimming, camping and just hanging out with family and friends. When he’s ready for some down time from all of those activities, he loves to cook and bake, or you might find him reading, playing video games, coloring, listening to music, or just watching a good action movie. Like most teens, Alexius is dreaming of the day that he will get his driver’s license! He loves to learn about cars, particularly engines, and even has some interest in possibly becoming a mechanic someday.
The ideal fit for Alexius would be an African American family, however he and his Permanency Team are open to hearing from any family that feels like they may be a great fit for him, who can commit to encouraging and supporting him in learning more about and celebrating his cultural identity. Alexius would like to stay in Idaho, particularly in the Treasure Valley area, if possible and is hoping for a more urban home, as opposed to living in a country setting. Alexius is a legal risk placement at this time.
