Learn More About Brooklyn

Brooklyn is a funny, talented, and outgoing teen who can’t get enough of playing volleyball! She’s hoping for a family who likes to stay active and have fun, but who also enjoys lazy days at home reading books or having a family movie or game night in. Some of the activities that Brooklyn likes to participate in include swimming; camping; hiking, amusement parks and shopping. She hasn’t tried one yet but thinks that going to an Escape Room sounds like a ton of fun! Brooklyn hopes that her Forever Family loves to travel. She’d love to experience Ireland and dreams of someday travelling all over the world and maybe even spending a few years living in a foreign country.

Brooklyn never turns down a great pasta dish and really likes to bake and then decorate cakes and cookies. She’s currently into all things related to theater and acting, and also wants to try her hand at ballet soon! Once she gets all settled into her new home, Brooklyn plans to join the debate club at school because she really likes researching things… plus, who in their right mind wouldn’t want to have the ability to get a good grade and not get into trouble for arguing their point at school! One thing that isn’t debatable though, is how much Brooklyn enjoys watching or reading a good mystery and trying to figure out the “how” and the “why.” This passion for solving puzzling things has led her to set her sights on someday becoming an FBI profiler.

Brooklyn’s idea of the right fit in a family for her would include either a mom and a dad, or possibly a family with two moms. Brooklyn is great with little kids and wouldn’t mind having a younger sibling in the home but doesn’t feel that a family with a lot of children is a good fit for her. She definitely hopes her family loves animals as much as she does and is looking forward to hopefully being able to have a dog or cat of her own. A fun family who can provide structure and clear expectations, but is not too strict or overbearing, would be ideal for her. This sweet girl is sure to thrive in a family with parents who understand trauma; give a lot of grace; and start each day fresh. Brooklyn and her Permanency Team are open to hearing from and considering out of state families, as well as families anywhere within Idaho.

Every day spent in foster care is one too many for this amazing teen! If you already feel a connection after getting to know just a bit about Brooklyn and you think that your family may be a great match for her, we encourage you to inquire today!

The Idaho Wednesday's Child Program prioritizes the safety and security of children, above all else. In an effort to protect the safety of the youth we serve, our process requires families to possess a current, approved adoption home study. Only families with a current home study can view youth's full profiles with videos and photos and submit inquiries, on the Secure Gallery Page.
