Daymien is a young man with a vivid imagination who likens himself to a Ninja Turtle because of his voracious appetite for Cheese Pizza! He’s definitely an outgoing guy, and he couldn’t wait to share with us all of the things he is passionate about, along with his hopes and dreams for his future.
Daymien is super proud of how smart he is when it comes to math, reading or anything related to working on or with computers. He loves Pokemon, Zelda, Dragonball Z, Naruto games and movies and is a master at Monopoly! Daymien loves learning and frequently plays Geometry Dash on his tablet in his spare time, even when he’s not at school! With such a creative mind, it’s unlikely that Daymien will get bored easily in his new home. He loves to make his own fun and can often be found making up games outside where he becomes his favorite movie or book characters and fights off the bad guys. Daymien loves to keep active with bike riding, football, soccer and karate. He has been in choir and has played the trumpet in band at school in the past and really liked both. He hopes to continue with them in the future.
Daymien loves feeling part of a family and enjoys being in charge of the family recycling. He has dreams of having a family that attends church regularly and is kind, funny and forgiving. Daymien would like prospective families to know that even though he has been through a lot of changes, loss and hard things in his past, he still hangs onto hope that the right family for him will soon find him. When asked what he would wish for if he could have anything in the world, Daymien let us know that even though he would love to have 2,000 Pokemon cards and a Nintendo Switch, his biggest wish of all is to find a mom and a dad who are truly able to see past his struggles and focus on his strengths and everything he is capable of achieving. This deserving young man simply wants a family who will commit to loving him unconditionally for all of his days to come.
Daymien’s Permanency Team is searching for a family where he can be the only, or at least the youngest, child in the home. Parents who are TBRI trained, or who have considerable knowledge and understanding of what children who’ve come from hard places need in order to thrive would be an amazing match. Daymien needs a family who values maintaining and supporting existing connections with a sibling he is unable to be placed with, as well as with a few other important people he has had in his life. Although Daymien’s team is open to hearing from any family who feels they may be a good fit for him, they would love to find the ideal family for Daymien in the Southern or Eastern Idaho area and prefer families who already have a completed adoptive home study or have prior foster care experience.
Every day that goes by without having the love and care of his future family is one too many for this sweet, caring boy. If Daymien sounds like a potential fit for your family, please reach out to us today!
