Drake is a fun and caring teen who prides himself on helping others and standing up for what he believes is the right thing to do. He’s hoping to find an outdoorsy family that likes to stay active and his biggest dream of all is having a Dad who will take him camping and hunting. Some of Drakes other active interests that you might have in common include swimming; hiking; paintball wars and shooting hoops. He’d love to learn and train in MMA and is hoping to make that dream a reality as soon as he gets settled into his new home.
Like most boys his age, Drake enjoys eating, especially if beef enchiladas and taquitos are involved! Cook him a great meal and this talented young man will reciprocate by making you one of his special amazingly healthy, yet delicious, desserts! In his down time, Drake enjoys video games; drawing; playing the African Drums and listening to music. This adventurous young man loves celebrating holidays with people he loves and dreams of visiting wonderous places like Russia or Hawaii together with his Forever Family!
Drake’s permanency Team is on the hunt for a family where he can be the only child in the home, as he connects exceptionally well with adults. Drake will need parents who can meet him where he’s at developmentally and who are capable of being a really strong educational advocate for him. This amazing teen is sure to thrive in a home full of structure and routine but with caregivers who are also fun and easygoing and who can teach him the skills necessary to become more independent. Drake reports that a small town just might be a great fit for him, especially if it’s near a lot of outdoor recreational opportunities. He’s open to a two-parent family, or to the possibility of a single Dad. Drake is willing to consider out of state families and has connection to the state of Tennessee, where he would be happy to call home for the right family fit.
At 17 years old, each passing day brings Drake closer to the possibility of not finding a family to call his own in time and aging out of foster care. Drake needs at least one committed and caring adult who will provide that critical lifelong connection for him, someone to be there for his successes and celebrations, as well as the struggles we all face in life.
