Keni is a sweet young man who has big dreams of having a family of his own who will never give up on him! He hopes his future family includes a Dad who will teach him how to build things or take him exploring, camping, hunting and fishing. Keni enjoys sports like basketball and playing pool, as well as watching the Seattle Seahawks play football. This well-rounded boy also has a real passion for eating and cooking! Some of his favorite foods include Orange Chicken, Ramen Noodles and salad and he considers himself a master at making delicious pancakes and shrimp dishes. Someday he wants to learn how to make a humongous fancy cake likes he’s seen on tv baking shows!
Some of Keni’s other favorite activities include riding his bike; making forts; building with Legos; Japanese Anime; and playing card games, and board games. When he’s feeling sad or struggling with his emotions, Keni tries to do therapeutic things to relieve his stress like listening to music, painting, drawing or practicing making Origami animals. He is working hard to overcome his painful past and to learn new ways of expressing his needs.
Keni and his Permanency Team are on the hunt for an Idaho family who can commit to supporting any needed ongoing community services, as well as his ongoing relationship with some of his birth family members. Caregivers who are trauma knowledgeable, good communicators, and who manage their home with clear expectations, structure and routine, while also believing in do-overs and starting each day fresh, will be an ideal match for him!
