Learn More About Roselynn

Rosie is an amazing teen with a lot of big plans for her future, and the skills and interests to make those plans a reality! Rosie has been active in the past in all thing’s music related at school. Singing and quickly picking up how to play different instruments comes naturally to her and she has already tried her hand and succeeded at mastering the trumpet, clarinet and playing in the percussion section in band. She also writes poetry and songs of her own!

If music isn’t your thing, don’t worry, Rosie is so well rounded that you’re sure to find other interests in common. Rosie loves to participate in, talk about and write about sports! Soccer, basketball, volleyball, and football are her favorites, but she reports that watching or playing golf is definitely not for her! She’d really love a Forever Family who would enjoy spending time with her hiking; having game nights, doing puzzles together; playing board games or video games like Minecraft; or just watching her favorite Dallas Cowboys or Chicago Bulls play.

Rosie describes herself as having a bit of a dry sense of humor at times and is fond of sarcastic jokes. She feels good about herself when she can help someone out, whether that’s just being there for them emotionally, or doing things like cleaning up or helping out with dinner, all of the things that make you feel like you belong together. Rosie’s favorite holiday is Christmas, especially when it’s done up in a big way with lots of family, fun and food. Spaghetti and “funeral potatoes” are just a few of her favorites!

When asked what she would choose if she could have 3 wishes, Rosie confided that she would wish for a puppy of her own, to get a job (maybe at the local roller-skating rink) and to go skydiving! Rosie reports that her future goals include going to college and studying business and other requirements needed to go onto a career as either a teacher, a veterinarian, or a dog breeder. Never one to box herself in too much…if those don’t work out, she thinks she might just join the Navy and write songs for a living!

Rosie and her Permanency Team are searching for a family that truly values and enjoys teens, with a heart for all of the messiness and hard things that can come along with being in that stage of life. Rosie wants a family who is willing and able to listen to her needs and give her a chance to safely share her thoughts. Trauma knowledgeable caregivers with an easy-going parenting style, but who also set clear boundaries, will be a great fit for her. Rosie and her team are open to hearing from any Idaho families but are most interested in finding a family that resides in the Treasure Valley area, particularly a family without any really young children in the home, so that they can focus a lot of their time and energy on Rosie’s needs and helping her get settled into her new home. Hispanic families who can share in and support her culture would also be a wonderful fit. Rosie has a brother and hopes for a family who will encourage and help her maintain that relationship as she gets older.

Rosie is sure to bring so much fun and creative energy to the lives of the family who’ll be lucky enough to call her theirs forever! If you think that family may just be yours, please inquire about Rosie today!
